Towards harm reduction. The world of vaping in light of the new tax regulations (2019)

A sector with more than 10,000 workers, 2,500 specialised shops and a turnover of about 800 million euros, 4% of what Italians spend on traditional smoking.

The world of vaping and its operators, consumers and the often unclear fiscal policy that has characterised the last decade: the Eurispes research “Towards harm reduction. The world of vaping in light of the new tax regulations” analyses the current situation, in a delicate political phase for the whole sector.

The project includes a sample survey that traces the identikit of operators, reveals their opinions on the state of health and future prospects, and their experiences in dealing with e-cigarette buyers. It also includes twenty in-depth interviews with doctors, experts and leading professionals.
