Image and social role of the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Financial Police) (1997)
Based on in-depth interviews, the research attempts to explore the role and image of the Guardia di Finanza in Italian society.
The 50 opinion leaders interviewed were considered part of a privileged observatory and, for this reason, able to express such evaluations to provide attractive points of study, both for their professional experience and cultural background. The areas to which the opinion leaders belong range from politics and trade unions to the judiciary, from business to information and culture.
The interviews with foreign observers identified among the financial managers of some European embassies and representatives of the world of information are worth mentioning to allow a valuable comparison and analysis of some elements affecting the social and cultural life of modern Western democracies. Moreover, it provides evidence from various foreign contexts that may be useful for this survey.
