Something to talk about. Opinions and attitudes of Italian young boys and girls on the”Big Brother” reality show (2001)
Through this survey, carried out during the second edition of the programme Big Brother, which almost monopolised the debate in the mass media, the choice was made to analyse the opinions and attitudes of high school students. This decision is to the advantage of the depth of a survey that represents nothing more than a contribution to the discussion. The subjects interviewed are boys and girls from upper secondary schools distributed throughout the country. A structured questionnaire was used as a survey instrument, in which the guarantee of anonymity allowed the respondents to express their opinion with the utmost freedom. Moreover, at the time of administration, the Big Brother TV show had not yet ended. This means that the survey covered a living experience, scarcely filtered by memory processes.
