Professor of Sociology at the Freie Universitaet Berlin, Germany, he is involved in numerous projects and studies to address the issues of the difficulties of underpriviledged young people mainstreamed into the workforce, the promotion of cultural internationalization and cognitive development in the school, to appraise of the poverty conditions in large cities, beginning with Berlin. He developed a theoretical and practical model for the reintegration into workforce of former prisoners. He is scientific supervisor for the courses of the High School of Professional Social Workers. Co-founder and coordinator of the European Research Group SUPI dealing with the issues of social precarity, insecurity, uncertainty. In scientific publications, he has deepened, among other things, studies on the interpretation of precarious social role models and illusions of the myths of post-modernity.
