Giovanni Cannata
Vice-Chancellor of Universitas Mercatorum

Vice-Chancellor of Universitas Mercatorum. Since March 2015 Extraordinary Professor of Economic Policy at the Pegaso Telematic University. He is a member of the Accademia Nazionale di Agricoltura, the Accademia dei Georgofili, and the Accademia Italiana di Scienze Forestali. He is a member of the Scientific Council of SRM Studi e Ricerche per il Mezzogiorno in Naples.
From 2003 to 2005 he represented CNR in the Standing Committee for the Social Sciences of the European Science Foundation (ESF). He has been President of the Molise Innovazione Science and Technology Park; President of the Interministerial Technical Committee for the Mountains (CTIM), set up at the CIPE; member of the Executive Board of the CNR; Extraordinary Commissioner of the INEA National Institute of Agricultural Economics.
From 2000 to 2002 he was Vice President of the Conference of Italian University Rectors. From 2007 to 2012 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park Authority. From October 2011 to 2013 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Committee for UNICEF.
