Director of International Association for Social Quality – IASQ, based in The Hague, Netherlands, economist, he has long cooperated with the Dutch Institute for coordinating social sciences, exploring urban development processes in The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada from the perspecitive of public health, health care and welfare provisions. He promoted different international expert-meetingson the question of socio-economic trasformation of Europe. In collaboration with the dutch ISS-Institute of Social Studies, he has promoted projects and studies about the comparison of the human security discourse and the social quality approach, analysis of migration flows and the gender equality conditions in cities of Europe. Strongly committed to the development of a model of social quality, he has promoted international meetings on the topic in collaboration with leading universities in the South East Asia (conferences in Japan–2006; in Taiwan -2007, in Mainland, China-2008).
