Southern Italy Observatory
In the framework of its institutional activities, the Institute has decided to intensify its commitment to analysing the economic and social problems afflicting the nation. In particular, it has decided to focus on the long-standing issues of the North-South divide, the backwardness of infrastructure, unemployment and the gradual intellectual emigration of young people, as well as the criminal influence that still affects the development of entire regions.
The Southern Italy Observatory, chaired by Hon. Francesco Saverio Romano, pursues the objectives of study, elaboration and proposal for the South development by cooperating with the most important Southern Italy universities and experts of different economic and social backgrounds.
