Professor of Political Science and Sociology of Politics at the University of Molise, she has also teached Public Policy Analysis at the University LUMSA in Rome. Member of Parlament (socialist-radical): as Senator, 2001-2006, she was part of the Presidency of the Italian Senate; as Congresswoman, 2006-2008, she was member of the Constitutional Affairs Committee. Member of the board of directors of IPALMO– Institute for the relationships among Italy and the Countries of Africa, Latin America, Medium and Far East and of the directive board of the magazine “Liberal Criticism”. Vice President of the Confederation “Italians in the world”. In scientific publications she explored, among other things, the problems of the functions of the lobbies in the life of the state, socio-political impact of new information and communication technologies, the role of mayors in the city governance. She has done studies and analysis on the processes of change of the political class in the stages of transition.
