Secretary General of Eurispes at the Conference presenting the Report on reducing carbon emissions in the civil aviation sector in Italy and China

Marco Ricceri, Secretary General of Eurispes, speaks at the video conference presenting the Report on China and Italy’s achievements in reducing carbon emissions in the civil aviation sector in Beijing today.

The Report represents a valuable contribution to the global challenge of climate change by a significant service sector such as civil aviation. In line with the positive value of this Italian-Chinese collaboration, the conference is opened by the speeches of the ambassadors of the respective countries: the Ambassador of Italy to China, Luca Ferrari, and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Italy, Junhua Li.

The Report initiative is part of the long-standing cooperation between the Eurispes Institute and the Institute of European Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences – CASS.

On this occasion, Eurispes recalls the importance of the UN recommendations on the imperative need to accelerate in the present decade, defined as the “Decade of Action“, the initiatives for the construction of a sustainable development model, a requirement that calls for strengthening synergies between public and private operators and international cooperation initiatives, of which the Sector Report presented in Beijing provides a positive example.
