Eurispes at SiGMA World Rome 2026
On Wednesday 4 November 2026, the coordinator of the Eurispes Laboratory on Fiscal and Tax Policy, lawyer Giovambattista Palumbo, will speak at SiGMA World 2026, the international summit devoted to global business, innovation and advanced technologies, to be held in Rome from 2 to 5 November 2026 at the Fiera di Roma.
Payment systems have evolved well beyond simple transaction processing, becoming essential tools for ensuring regulatory compliance across both physical and digital channels. The session will examine how the growing use of cashless payments is transforming transaction traceability, fraud prevention and, more broadly, the entire customer journey.
The panel discussion will address the theme ‘Payment systems: transforming the financial ecosystem to strengthen the fight against illicit activities and money laundering’. Alongside Mr Palumbo, speakers will include the journalist Giampiero Moncada and Maurizio Pimpinella, President of the Italian Association of Payment Service Providers (APSP).
