Marco Omizzolo, Eurispes, meets the students of the “G. Ferraris” high school to talk about agromafie and caporalato
On Tuesday 23 February, from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Marco Omizzolo, researcher and sociologist at Eurispes, will take part in a seminar organised by the I.I.S. ‘G. Ferraris’ of Molfetta, on the theme of agromafie in Italy and the exploitation of migrant labour. The book, written by Omizzolo, entitled “Sotto padrone. Uomini, donne e caporali nell’agromafia italiana“, will be analysed and provide food for thought and discussion. The online meeting will be an important opportunity to make young people reflect on and raise their awareness of the issue of ‘caporalato‘ (forced labour) which, over the years, has become increasingly important at national level. The Headmaster, Dr. Luigi Melpignano, will introduce the event, which will take place on the Webex platform.
