18th Annual Meeting of the European Network on Regional Labour Market Monitoring – Theme: New Green Professions
The 18th annual meeting of the European Network on Regional Labour Market Monitoring, coordinated by the IWAK Institute of the University of Frankfurt with Dr. Christa Larsen, Director of the Institute for Economics, Labour and Culture, and of which Eurispes has the chairmanship of the Scientific Committee, with the Secretary general Marco Ricceri, will take place in Potsdam, Germany, on September 28-29, 2023.
In 2022, the international meeting was held in Sardinia at the Eurispes regional headquarters in Tempio Pausania on the topic of applying artificial intelligence in employment services.
This year’s theme of the international meeting is the spread of “green professions” as well as the new tasks and functions that the ecological transition of our development model, energetically promoted by the European Union, defines and attributes to regional and local labour market services.
The international meeting, which will also be attended by leading representatives of the EU and the OECD, will address in particular the employment prospects that open up for different categories of jobs and professional skills, in relation to the different degree of involvement in the processes of ecological transition, skills that an EU study distinguishes between “green”, “brown” and “white”.
Eurispes’ Secretary general will give the opening speech on the topic of the European Green Taxonomy and the ongoing problems for businesses and the labour market related to the complexity of its implementation.
The annual meeting will also include a specific session dedicated to the widespread use of Big Data in regional labour services.
