This is a contribution by Eurispes to recovery policies based on the awareness about the role of Multilateral Development Banks in the new reconstruction and growth processes. The Report’s analysis highlights a particularly relevant aspect of the main economic, public and private players’ decisions: although guided by commonly shared principles and criteria and systematic coordination practices, MDBs nevertheless show considerable originality and distinction in assessing the sustainability of development. As a result, they also have a great deal of originality in the guiding criteria and in selecting the indicators that guide their choices of investment projects they are willing to promote, support and implement.
