The directors of the Eurispes Observatory on Games, Legality and Pathologies coordinate the meeting on e-Sports

On Thursday 24 June, from 11.00 to 13.00, the Acqua Acetosa in Rome will host the conference ‘Virtual sports, the future is already here’. The initiative is promoted by the Study Centre of the CONI’s E-Sports Italy Committee.

The President of the Committee, Michele Barbone, will open the conference.

The conference will be moderated by the scientific directors and coordinators of the Study Centre of the E-Sports Italy Promoting Committee, the lawyers Andrea Strata and Chiara Sambaldi (Directors of the Permanent Observatory on Games Legality and Pathologies of Eurispes), who will illustrate the guidelines of the activity of the Study Centre and introduce the reports of the coordinators of the three macro areas: lawyer Giancarlo Guarino for the legal area, Prof. Carlo Tranquilli for the medical-scientific area and Maurizio Miazga for the technical area.

The conference will also be an opportunity to make an effective contribution to recognising virtual sports within the national sports system.

Eurispes’ Gaming Legality and Pathology Observatory have been monitoring the Virtual Sports sector for years, publishing, as early as 2019, an in-depth study dedicated to E-Sports within the Italy Report.
