The Eurispes Foundation at Roma Welfair 2026: healthcare practitioners’ time at the heart of the debate
The Eurispes Foundation will be taking part in Roma Welfair 2026, the healthcare trade fair promoted by B-Sanità and dedicated to healthcare in Italy, which takes place from 14 to 16 October at Fiera di Roma. Now in its seventh edition, this year’s event is entitled “The System that Cares”. The Foundation will be represented by Antonio Alizzi, journalist and Eurispes researcher, who will speak on the panel “The Most Precious Thing: Practitioners’ Time”.
The session will be held on Friday 16 October, from 10.30am to 1pm (Space 9), as part of the round table on “Healthcare Professions and Training”. Chaired by Enzo Chilelli, President of the B-Sanità Expert Committee and member of the Welfair Scientific Committee, the discussion starts from an observation shared by anyone who experiences healthcare from the inside: every day on the ward or in the clinic is a struggle against increasingly fragmented time, divided between direct patient care and tasks that take practitioners away from the patient. Forms, tracking requirements and administrative procedures have multiplied, taking away time that is essential to the care relationship and to tailoring treatment to the individual.
The panel brings together representatives of institutions, the professions and innovation, including Nicola Calabrese (National Deputy Secretary, FIMMG), Vincenzo Drago (Technical-Scientific Directorate Office, AIFA), Pietro Giurdanella (National Councillor, FNOPI, and President, OPI Bologna), Donato A. Limone (Professor of Legal Informatics and Digital Administration Science), Ombretta Papa (National Secretary, SIICP), Alfredo Procaccini (Senior Vice-President, Federfarma), Elio Rosati (Regional Secretary, Cittadinanzattiva Lazio), Francesco Sciscione (General Secretary, Nursing Up), Pierluigi Vecchio (Director General, FNOMCeO) and Giorgia Verlato (lawyer specialising in healthcare law and digital health), together with Alessio Cicirelli (General Manager, Marzotto Venture Accelerator) and Marzia Sandroni (Director, Casentino Health District).
With more than 60 working groups and an exhibition area showcasing the most innovative technologies and services for citizens, practitioners and healthcare facilities, Welfair offers senior healthcare decision-makers, scientific societies and medical technology companies a forum for discussion aimed at building a stronger, safer and more integrated National Health Service.
