Eurispes – Almaty University Of Technology (Kazakhstan) Scientific cooperation agreement signed
The President of Eurispes, prof. Gian Maria Fara, and the Rector of the Almaty University of Technology (ATU) in Kazakhstan, prof. Kulazhanov Talgat Kuralbekovich, signed a scientific and cultural collaboration agreement aimed at promoting common initiatives, research and publications in the thematic areas that concern the major challenges facing the international scene, starting with the general and shared commitment to sustainable development. The agreement also aims to contribute to a better mutual understanding of the two realities, Italy and Kazakhstan, and to encourage the exchange of experts and researchers.
Almaty Technological University is one of the leading educational institutions in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, which has been training specialists and scientific personnel for the food, processing, textile and light industries, the service and hospitality industry, economics and finance for more than 60 years. The research activities of the university are aimed at creating competitive scientific developments, assisting in the implementation of the country’s industrial and innovative strategy, improving the quality of higher education through innovation and the introduction of scientific research results and new technologies.
In particular, on the basis of the collaboration agreement (MOU), the Eurispes Institute and the Faculty of Economics and Commerce of the ATU University will promote common initiatives in the following areas of scientific interest:
- Development of cultural, sports, health tourism;
- Interaction of political and economic factors in the direction of sustainable development of the country,
- The impact of corruption on the development of universities,
- Economics of cultural tourism,
- Implementation of results-based budgeting (PBB) method in universities.
Deep satisfaction for the signing of the agreement with Eurispes was expressed by the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, prof. Diana Abdraimova and by the coordinator of the initiatives envisaged by the memorandum, prof. Elvira Ruzieva. In this way, they declared, among other things, the possibility of offering a valid contribution to European Union programs aimed at strengthening partnerships between leading cultural and scientific institutes of Italy and Kazakhstan, and collect in this way valid cognitive elements for the common strategic choice of the quality of development.
