Falcone and Borsellino” International Cooperation Programme: training webinars open today

On 19 and 20 April, the professional training courses envisaged by the international cooperation programme dedicated to the memory and testimony of magistrates Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, an initiative financed by the Missions Decree of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and entrusted for its implementation to the International Italo-Latin American Organisation IILA, will take place.

The webinars, opened by the greetings of the Secretary-General of IILA, Min. Antonella Cavallari and the Ambassador of Paraguay H.E. Roberto Melgarejo, President pro-tem of the IILA, will host on 19 April the intervention of the Minister of Justice of Paraguay Cecilia Pérez Rivas and on 20 April those of the National Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor Federico Cafiero De Raho, of the Central Director Americas of MAECI, Michele Pala, and of the Fiscal General del Estado of Ecuador Diana Salazar Méndez.

The Scientific Coordinator of the programme is Cons. Giovanni Tartaglia Polcini, legal advisor of MAECI and member of the Scientific Committee of Eurispes, while the Executive Coordinator is Cons. Nicola Russo.

The course is aimed at judges, public prosecutors, law enforcement officials and officials from agencies and/or institutions that supervise and manage public procurement, for a total of 130 participants for the course in Cybercrimes and 100 participants for the course in Procurement, from 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The President of the Observatory on Cybersecurity of Eurispes, Lawyer Roberto De Vita, will speak as a lecturer within the training activities dedicated to the theme “Cybercrimes and the use of new technologies to fight organised crime”.
