International conference on changes and reorientations within the social crisis and pandemic catastrophe
The annual international conference promoted by the European Research Group S.U.P.I. – Social Uncertainty, Precarity, Insecurity – will take place online on 29 and 30 April.
The main theme of the meeting will be “Changes and reorientations within the social crisis and catastrophe: towards the realisation of epistemological pandemic processes”.
Eurispes participates and promotes the conference as a founding member of the European S.U.P.I. Network. Among others, the Secretary-General of Eurispes, Marco Ricceri, will give a speech entitled: “Pandemic crisis and social crisis in EU policies: from the “Green New Deal” (2019) to the “Social Summit” (2021)“.
The S.U.P.I. European Research Group was formally established in January 2007, at the end of a conference on new forms of social precariousness, held in Berlin, with the collaboration of the German Ministry of Welfare. The coordinator of the group is Prof. Dr. Rolf Dieter Hepp, Freie Universitaet, Berlin and member of the Scientific Committee of Eurispes. The aim of the Group’s initiatives is the identification, definition and analysis of new forms of social precariousness, with a particular focus on the relationship between changes in working conditions and widespread social precariousness.
