How to talk about gender-based violence, the Eurispes at the training course for journalists
On Monday 18 November 2024, there will be a professional training day for journalists dedicated to the fight against abuse against women, entitled ‘Stop gender violence: train to stop’. The appointment is in Florence, at the Grand Hotel Baglioni. The project has been set up with the aim of offering information professionals useful tools to deal with the theme of gender violence, through an in-depth study of aspects such as medical-scientific and psychological information, the protection of privacy, regulations, and the institutional reliability of information. The professional training course is organised by the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Toscana with the support of Menarini.
Raffaella Saso, Deputy Director of Research at Eurispes, will participate in the training day as a speaker with a speech scheduled for 10.00 a.m. entitled: ‘Violence against women: how to read the data’. The day will also include speeches by Maria Emilia Bonaccorso, deputy editor-in-chief of Ansa, Filippo di Benedetto, deputy chief prosecutor of Florence, Vittoria Doretti, CTS expert of the Observatory on the phenomenon of gender violence of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Alessandra Kustermann, former Director of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the U. O.C. di Pronto Soccorso Soccorso Soccorso Soccorso Soccenza Soccorso Violenza Sessuale e Domestica (SVSeD) e Consultorio Familiare della Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Grande Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Danila Pescina, criminologist and psychotherapist, Mirella Taranto, Head of the Press Office of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
