President of the Scientific Committee of Eurispes opens the seminar “Media virus. The impact of Covid-19 on the media public sphere”
The President of the Eurispes Scientific Committee, Alberto Mattiacci, opens the seminar promoted by the chairs of Innovation and analysis of journalism models – Laboratory of journalism techniques and languages and Theory and techniques of television at CoRiS – Sapienza University of Rome.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. in Room Blu1 (Piazzale Aldo Moro, 5) and on the Zoom platform, and it will analyse the impact of Covid-19 on the public media sphere.
The debate will start from updating the monitoring conducted by the Permanent Observatory on TG Eurispes – CoRiS. The data published concerning the information coverage of the year 2020, published in the volume “Il virus nell’informazione” “(The virus in the Media”), and the updates carried out by the Observatory during 2021, will provide an opportunity to reconstruct the evolution of the relevance of the media virus in the national agenda, and the narrative strategies that seven generalist newspapers have adopted in managing the communication about the pandemic.
